General Information and Guidelines

The Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Use of its grounds and facilities are governed by federal rules and regulations. Please review the guidelines outlined in the rental agreement form.

All facility rental reservations must be confirmed and the appropriate forms completed in advance. Events must be cultural, recreational, corporate, and/or educational in nature. Personal or commercial events and political fundraisers are prohibited. No implications can be made through written material or media relations that the Eisenhower Presidential Library is sponsoring the event or has endorsed the organization sponsoring the event. 

Activities that include exchange of funds on site are not permitted. Auctions, raffles, admission or registration fees collected at the door, sales promotion of goods and/or services, or cash bars are not allowed on site. Alcoholic beverages are permitted in an open bar setting only. The serving of alcohol must end no later than one half hour before the conclusion of the event.

You must notify the NARA representative in advance of any additional groups supporting your event for prior approval. This includes caterers, performers, entertainers, and other service-related vendors. These groups must check in with security and the NARA representative upon arrival. 

Food and beverage are not allowed in the exhibit galleries or the auditoriums.

Balloons, candles, glitter, potted plants, and trees are not permitted anywhere in the facility.

IT support is not provided.

All deliveries for the event must be signed for by the organization sponsoring the event or its designated representative. Under no circumstances will the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum or any of its employees sign or assume responsibility for these deliveries.

Space Reservations

General availability for all spaces is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All rental space is subject to availability. The rental agreement form is available for download.

Submit the rental agreement form along with a brief letter of intent at least 30 days prior to your event.

The following must be approved in advance by the Library:

1. Media coverage
2. Speakers, performers, movies or programs
3. Decorations that are fastened to any part of the building by any means
4. The serving of alcoholic beverages

Sponsoring organizations and their designated contractors must review their plans with Library staff; and the plans must conform to Library rules and procedures and to pertinent fire, safety, and security regulations. Events which do not receive Library approval will be cancelled or altered to meet Library requirements.

Available Venues

Visitors Center Auditorium (72' x 40')

This large auditorium can be divided into two rooms and has excellent acoustics. 

Capacity: 250 theater style  | 100 classroom style
Standard fee: $400 up to 4 hours | $800 all day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Non-profit/Partner fee: $300 up to 4 hours | $600 all day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Evening use fee: Additional $200 (events must end at 9 p.m.)
Portable stage rental: $200 

Library Conference Room (30' x 17.5')

The conference room works well for meetings and training sessions. 

Capacity: 40 theater style  | 24 conference style
Standard fee: $200 (up to 4 hours) | $400 all day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Non-profit/Partner fee: $150 (up to 4 hours) | $300 all day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Evening use fee: Additional $200 (events must end at 9 p.m.)

Library Auditorium (52' x 28')

This theater-style auditorium has a permanent stage with drop screen and can be used for more formal lectures/presentations.

Standard fee: $400 (up to 4 hours) | $800 all day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Non-profit/Partner fee: $300 (up to 4 hours) | $600 all day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Evening use fee: Additional $200 (events must end at 9 p.m.)

Library Courtyard (60.5' x 44')

A formal setting perfect for dinners and banquets. This room is carpeted and has a fine crystal chandelier hanging from the two-story ceiling. Use of the lobby  for a social/reception may be added.

Capacity: 300 theater style | 176 dinner setting with round tables
Dining/Banquet: $2000 standard | $1500 non-profit/partner
Conference meeting: $1500 standard | $1125 non-profit/partner
Lobby space add-on: $500

Library Lobby (32' x 40', excluding 16' from entrance and windows)

This space is a more formal setting, fitting for receptions/registrations. The walls and hallway are lined with Italian marble and therefore produce an echoing effect. A public announcement system is not recommended for this space. The lobby is not rented as a stand-alone space but may be added onto a courtyard rental.
