2025 Annual Theme

SALUTING OUR VETERANS

“Let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom.”

~ President Dwight D. Eisenhower
Veterans Day Proclamation 3071
October 8, 1954

The 2025 programming season is dedicated to our nation’s veterans. The Eisenhower Museum was originally founded as a tribute to WWII veterans. Join us as we continue to uphold the legacy of honoring those who served. This yearlong salute to our veterans will include programming to celebrate the 250th anniversaries of the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. Marking these important service birthdays and honoring America’s veterans are natural lead-ins to our programming theme for 2026: America’s 250th birthday!

These programs are all made possible courtesy of the Eisenhower Foundation with generous support from the Jeffcoat Memorial Foundation.

Declaration 250

July 4, 2026
Our Nation's 250th Anniversary

The National Archives is celebrating Declaration250: the spirit of equality and liberty enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, 250 years of our nation’s resilience and pursuit of happiness, and our collective growth toward a more perfect nation.

250 years is just the beginning.

Dr. Colleen Shogan, Archivist of the United States, welcomes all Americans to join Declaration250, a multiyear celebration of America's 250th anniversary that includes exhibitions, public engagements and special programs, themed events, and other activities that will culminate in a grand celebration on July 4, 2026.
